THE
B.R.A.T.S PROGRAM
B.R.A.T.S or Bratsche Resources And Teaching in the Schools is a unique educational program designed to help viola teachers
recruit, work directly with, and reach out to large groups
of viola students in their communities. Resources available include a comprehensive program outline, a resource notebook (coming soon), and instructions for presenting a day long festival ‘BRATS Day’ in an accessible
venue in your local area.
BRATS Program Outline
The BRATS Program is designed to bring students and teachers together and be able to offer students the opportunity to meet other violists and have access to resources otherwise not available to them. This overall project outline should enable teachers and students to be able to connect in their communities more effectively. For more information, click on the link below:

How
to host your own BRATS Day
If
you would like to co- host with your local AVS Chapter or
sister organization in your area, please check our Community page to find links to a local chapter.
If
there isn’t a chapter in your area, consider starting
your own local AVS chapter! A chapter can be created by
bringing together a few viola friends, or your colleagues
in the viola section of a local orchestra, or a college/university
studio - students can form their own chapter too! It’s
not difficult to put together and can bring a lot of important
contacts, sharing of resources and ideas to one event. It
can also give you the opportunity to get involved with the
community.
