Online Music Advocacy Resource
The American String Teachers Association has posted a new online music advocacy resource at www.astaweb.com/AdvocacyResourceCenter.htm. It includes a downloadable PowerPoint presentation, SOS: SUPPORT OUR STRINGS, and talking points. The presentation gives facts, graphs, and research demonstrating how important music education, particularly strings, is in schools today. Other documents guide advocates on issues such as giving a powerful speech and writing effective letters to the editor.
