Held in conjunction with the 2018 AVS Festival and PIVC at The Colburn School, Los Angeles, CA, the American Viola Society announces the 2018 AVS Orchestral Audition Seminar with live semi-final and final rounds on Wednesday June 13, 2018. The Seminar is aimed at pre-professional violists seeking to win an orchestral audition.

The AVS Orchestral Audition Seminar aims to provide additional orchestral audition experience through live round screened auditions for semi-finalists, feedback from orchestral violists in written comments for all participants, and a unique experience for festival attendees to listen behind the screen from the perspective of the judging panel.

The semi-final and final round will be followed by a panel discussion on the audition process. As part of the 2018 AVS Festival and PIVC, attendance to observe the seminar will require AVS festival registration.
