Submission Guidelines
JAVS
Online welcomes submission of high quality original manuscripts on topics
related to the viola, its performance, pedagogy, history, and literature.
Article length should not exceed 8,000 words.
Submissions must be new, previously unpublished material.
Articles
may be submitted at any time. Submissions should be sent by email as an attachment
formatted in Microsoft Word, or pasted into the body of an email, to: info@AVSnationaloffice.com
Music examples created in Finale should be submitted electronically, or if
created in an another music software program, saved as JPeg files.
Sound
clips submitted as mp3 files may be included in support of the article. These
files should be sent electronically to: info@AVSnationaloffice.com
Photos and artwork are encouraged to enhance the article. Please send as JPeg
files via email, or mail to the AVS National Office (attn: Kathryn Steely,
JAVS Online Editor, 13140 Coit Rd., Suite 320, LB 120, Dallas, TX 75240).
Please do not mail originals.
The author is responsible for
securing permission for including/reproducing any copyrighted material. Please
include proof of permission along with submission.
If you are not sure about the suitabilty of a proposed article, please contact
the Editor.
Authors are encouraged to send a short biographical paragraph (200 words or
less)
