Emanuel
Vardi is well known for his contributions as one of the foremost
viola soloists of the 20th century. His groundbreaking recording
of the Paganini 24 Caprices on the viola is accompanied by
numerous others, including the sonatas of Brahms, Bax and
Bliss. Vardi is a master teacher, conductor, and composer,
and an international award-winning artist, having sold over
100 paintings during his lifetime. Vardi recently donated
his painting, “Homage to a Great Violist” to the
Primrose International Viola Archive at Brigham Young University
in celebration
of the opening of the Primrose rooms in 2002.
Manny Vardi has now made gallery quality reproductions of
this beautiful painting, on either paper or stretched canvas,
available by special order. Half of the proceeds from the
sale will benefit the American Viola Society. Manny continues
to give master classes throughout the country and paint, and
is available for special commissions.
