12 Sep UT Viola Celebration Oct 21-22
The 17th annual Viola Celebration, themed Explorations & Inspiration! will be held October 21-22. Themed classes will expand the conceptions of what violists can do, with classes in improv, composition, bluegrass fiddling, extended techniques, working with loop pedal and other electronics and more. Our guests include Trever New, Molly Gebrian and Greg Williams, with a surprise special guest appearance as well. Best of all, we are offering a Virtual participant option for those who can’t come to Knoxville in person.
The ensemble competition is also open to virtual participants and will be held Friday evening, October 20. The winners have their name inscribed on our traveling trophy and get to house the trophy in their home studio for the year. 
Virtual registrations received before Oct 1 are just $50 for the entire weekend of events. And of course we welcome in person participants as well. More information is here: https://music.utk.edu/events/viola-celebration/
