Zachary Windsor is a multifaceted, professional violinist located in the Shenandoah Valley. His most prized accomplishment is winning an audition as a contracted player with the Roanoke Symphony where he has received privileged opportunities as acting concertmaster and acting principal second violinist during various concert cycles. He is also an adjunct violin/viola professor for Bridgewater College. As a performer, Zachary also performs on violin for numerous other symphonies, operas, and musicals across the Shenandoah Valley/Metro DC area. Notable performance instances include premiering Wynton Marsalis’ Blues symphony, Scheherazade with legendary William Preucil, and recording soundtrack music for theme parks such as Seaworld and Norwegian Cruise Line.
As a teacher, Zachary owns and operates his business, Windsor Melodies, which provides string lessons through his home, at boardings schools, and includes home visits within students’ residences. He has also taught group lessons for after-school programs within public schools and has provided teachings services for EMU preparatory program, Rocktown House of Music, Spring String Thing, and Red Wing Academy.
Zachary has enormous gratitude for teachers that have helped him carve his path as a violinist which includes: Akemi Takayama, Wanchi Huang, Bruno Nasta, Linda Schroeder, and Lisa-Beth Lambert.
