Molly Sharp recently retired as Principal Violist of the Richmond Symphony after 31 seasons. Molly is also the creator of VlaTutti.com, which provides resources for violists that elevate teaching, learning, and performing through the joy of collaboration, and co-creator of Bratsche Bunch, a community for adult amateur violists.
A native of Fayetteville, AR, Molly received a Bachelor’s Degree from the Blair School of Music, studying with Kathryn Plummer, and her Master’s Degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she studied with Heidi Castleman and the Cavanni Quartet.
Molly coaches at the Gettysburg Chamber Music Workshop and performs at the AIMS festival in Graz, Austria. Molly was an Artist in Residence for the American Viola Society in 2024, and has presented at the AVS Festival on the topic of A Trauma-Informed Approach to Pedagogy and Performance Anxiety.
