Limin Huang, from Changsha, China, is pursuing a Master’s degree in Viola with a full scholarship at Northwestern University under Helen Callus. He completed his undergraduate studies at the Central Conservatory of Music with Professor Wang Changhai. Starting violin at 8 and later switching to viola, he held his debut solo recital at Hunan Grand Theatre in August 2024. He won the Gold Medal at the 2025 Charleston International Music Competition, the Second Prize (First Prize vacant) at the 2025 AVIMC Winter Competition, and was named a finalist for the 2026 AVS Festival Collegiate Solo Competition. He has collaborated with renowned conductors and musicians and attended masterclasses by distinguished artists.
