Madi Price is a Texas based violist. She is pursuing an MM in Viola Performance at the University of North Texas after earning a BM in Performance from Brigham Young University in UT. Her primary teachers are Susan Dubois and Claudine Bigelow. She grew up on a farm in a small town and drove hours for lessons, which shaped her discipline and focus.
Madi performs as a section violist with Orchestra at Temple Square and Utah Metropolitan Ballet. She also works as a freelance orchestral substitute and has performed with Ballet West, American Festival Orchestra, Bozeman Symphony Orchestra, San Angelo Symphony, and Richardson Symphony Orchestra. She is active as a studio recording artist, with credits including projects for BYU, Kenneth Cope, LA East Studios, and Funk Studios.
She was a National Orchestra Institute Fellow in 2025, serving as Assistant Principal Violist, and has held principal roles including Principal Violist of the BYU Philharmonic. Masterclass clinicians include Paul Neubauer, Garth Knox, Stephen Wyrczynski, Leticia Oaks Strong, Karen Ritscher, Hae Sue Lee, Jeffrey Irvine, Julia White Smith, and Lynne Ramsey. Alongside performance, she serves as a Social Media Intern for the American Viola Society and taught junior high orchestra for three years
