Freya Price is 14 years old and is in 8th grade at the Waldorf School of Philadelphia. She has been playing violin for 11 years, since she was 3, and she has been playing viola for 5 years, since she was 9. She has been studying with Shelley Beard since 2022. Freya is in the advanced studies program at Settlement music school and is supported by the Primavera scholarship fund in Philadelphia. She plays first stand viola in the Philadelphia Young Artists Orchestra and in the Trowbridge string quartet. She has studied in the summers at Interlochen, Heifetz, Kinhaven, and her favorite, Point Counterpoint in Vermont. In addition to music she loves reading and baking and also plays basketball and rows.
