Macy Brummal is a 16-year-old violist from Rogers, Arkansas. She has held the principal position in North Arkansas All Region Orchestra for the past five years, and has held the principal position in the Arkansas All State Orchestra for the past two years. In 2025, she was selected for the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America (NYO-USA), touring China, South Korea, and Japan under the direction of Gianandrea Noseda. During this residency, she studied under Christian Colberg and performed alongside Ray Chen and Clara Jumi Kang. Macy also has participated in National Youth Orchestra 2 (NYO2) in 2024, performing under Teddy Abrams and studying under Li-Kuo Chang. Throughout NYO and NYO2, she performed at Carnegie Hall, Meyerson Symphony Center, Osaka Symphony Hall, Suntory Hall, Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Beijing National Centre for the Performing Arts, Shanghai Oriental Arts Center, and Seoul Arts Center. Macy has been a member of the University of Arkansas Chamber Orchestra since 2024. Prior to this, she was a member of the Arkansas Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. Macy plans to major in music performance, and she currently studies under her private teacher Jesse Collett.
