Originally from Paris, Arnaud Ghillebaert has performed as an orchestra musician with The Academy of Saint Martin in the Fields, the London Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House (London, UK). He has played with the Artosphere Festival Orchestra (Corrado Rovaris, musical director) for many years as well and is a former member of the New Haven Symphony.
He is a founding member of the Elsewhere Ensemble, a group which mixes music and spoken word. One of the Ensemble’s recent creations is a new piece called Invocation by Colin Pip Dixon, based on the themes of violence and peace, featuring Grammy award-winning baritone Kenneth Overton.
A dedicated chamber musician, he has collaborated with artists such as Anton Nel, Jasper Wood, Katie Kresek, Searmi Park, David Krakauer as well as the Akhtamar and Delgani String Quartets.Arnaud teaches viola performance at the University of Oregon since Fall 2017.
