Brightin Rose Schlumpf is a versatile violinist and violist, performing with ensembles including the Colorado Symphony, Colorado Ballet Orchestra, Central City Opera, Boulder Philharmonic, and Boulder Chamber Orchestra. Equally active as a chamber musician, she is a member of the Timberline Quartet, co-founded Ensemble Zwei and collaborated with crossover groups such as Spinphony, and performed alongside artists like Josh Groban and Michael Bublé.
An accomplished recording artist, Brightin appears on albums with Kantorei, Princess Music, and the Andy Sydow Band, and has premiered contemporary works nationwide.
Currently pursuing her Doctor of Arts in Viola Performance at the University of Northern Colorado, she holds Master’s degrees from the University of Colorado Boulder and the Longy School of Music, and a BA from Cornell University. A dedicated educator with extensive Suzuki training, Brightin maintains a thriving private studio and serves as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at UNC.
