Christopher Raphael leads the Music Informatics program at Indiana University’s School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering, with adjunct roles in music, cognitive science, and statistics. Holding a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Brown University, he has worked on diverse problems, from Arabic character recognition to mine detection. His research now focuses on music, including accompaniment systems, computational music analysis, and musical signal processing.
