The EFM FACULTY VIOLISTS are a group of teachers and performers who have collaborated for many years and continue their work together at the Eastern Festival of Music. The summer festival remains based at Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina, maintaining the same format as in previous years. Over the course of the five-week festival, they will teach and mentor a large class of violists, aged 14–23, through private lessons, chamber music coaching, and master classes. They also perform weekly as the viola section of the faculty orchestra and participate in chamber music concerts. The faculty takes pride in fostering a collegial and nurturing atmosphere within the festival’s viola community.
