The EMF FACULTY VIOLISTS are longstanding teachers and performers at the 63-year-old festival in Greensboro, North Carolina. Over the course of the five-week festival, they teach and mentor a large class of violists, aged 14-23, through private lessons, chamber music coaching, and master classes. They also perform weekly as the viola section of the faculty orchestra and participate in chamber music concerts. The faculty take pride in fostering a collegial and nurturing atmosphere within the festival’s viola community!
