Hailed as “innovative” and “stylish” by the Chicago Classical Review, violist Rose Wollman is sought after as a soloist, chamber musician and teacher. She was the founding violist of the Petar Jankovic Ensemble and the Larchmere String quartet. Rose has performed with the Lucerne Festival Academy Orchestra, the Pacific Music Festival Orchestra, and the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra. She has collaborated with diverse artists, including Atar Arad, Michael Kannen, Jeffrey Dunham, Rachel Barton Pine, Julián Peralta, Pablo Aslan, and Michael Spiro.
Rose’s discography includes Breaking Glass Ceilings with pianist Dror Baitel and Homage to Nadia Boulanger with Clare Longendyke, a solo album Loop: Ligeti’s Inspiration & Legacy, as well as chamber and orchestral releases. She runs a viola-specific record label called SBOV Music (Sounds Better on Viola).
