The American Viola Society welcomes volunteers to support the 2026 AVS Festival at James Madison University. Festival volunteers play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of concerts, competitions, masterclasses, and events, while gaining behind-the-scenes experience at one of the world’s largest viola gatherings.
Volunteering is an excellent opportunity for students and emerging professionals to engage with the viola community while offsetting Festival expenses.
Individuals interested in volunteering must complete the AVS Festival Volunteer Sign-Up Form. Space is limited, and assignments will be made based on Festival needs and applicant availability.
